We live in a world where things are supposed to make sense; like one plus one equals two. What goes up must come down, amongst other things. But in the God's economy, the opposite is quite true. And one of those instances is when God allows something to break, so that he can do something bigger, better and greater with it. We don't quite get it, but the Lord, gave me a word recently, when I asked him why things were breaking or falling apart. His response to me was: "There is a making in the breaking."
Those words recalled to my mind that when God wanted to give him a word regarding Israel, He sent him down to the potter's house to watch him work at the wheel. What Jeremiah observed as he watched the potter at the wheel, was that the vessel he was making was marred in his hand, so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter (see Jeremiah 18:3-4).
A word for you today is this: if things seem marred, broken, twisted and out of alignment, submit it all to God, and let Him rework the vessel as He sees fit. For the most part, it is not the circumstances that matter the most. There is something in you that He wants to rework, and reshape. Trust Him, that in the breaking, He is making something more beautiful and lasting.
Blessings!
