Have you said these words at one time or other? "Nothing good ever happens to me?" How you define good determines the good you see or don't see. Is something only good when it feels good? Is something only good when it looks good? Is something only considered good when it delivers what you want at the time that you want it?
Every good and perfect gift comes from God. Can you truly say that God has never given you anything good? Are you still breathing? That's good. Now take a deep breath. Inhale and exhale. That's just a small part of what God does, but there is more. Romans 8:28 teaches us that God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. The KJV renders the same verse this way: "And we know that all things work together for good, to those who are the called according to his purpose." Good is in the works, and God is working his purposes out, even when you can't hear it, see it of feel it. Let his purpose find its place in your life. God is committed to your good. Trust Him.
