Has anyone ever done whatever they could to get rid of you, to dismantle your dreams, to end your leadership, to silence your voice, to discredit you, or something to that effect? I have been on the receiving end a few times. To the brothers who sold Joseph into slavery, that was the end - end of his dreams, end of his father's favoritism, end of his story. Oh, but not so fast! God had other plans.
Getting rid of Joseph may have seemed like the right move to his brothers, and though it may not have looked like it at the time, it was just what God had in mind to bring fulfillment. The plan of God usually runs counter to that of man. Man's way up is God's way down. The way out, is His way in. What others deem the end, is just where He loves to begin. Don't count yourself out as yet. Don't despair of what others may have plotted against you. Don't lose hope. Don't give up on your dreams. With no food, and no way to get it but Egypt, the brothers would later come looking for food, and for Joseph, it was checkmate. Read his story in Genesis chapters 37, 39-45.
