Have God ever asked you to do something that sounded crazy? Did you do it? Or did you reason the word/thought away with something like; "That can't be God" or "It doesn't make sense." Jeremiah thought the same thing (Jeremiah 32). It seemed like a ridiculous idea what the Lord was asking him to do. Jerusalem was about to be crushed and overrun by the Babylonians and God was telling him to buy a field.

But that's just it. Sometimes God does ask us to do things that defies reasoning. But He wouldn't be God if everything He asks us to do is comfortable, reasonable and doable according to our own ability. God has plans that we know nothing of, and He is never unsure of anything, nor does he take a guess at anything He does. When Paul grasps what God had done in bringing about salvation for the Gentiles, he is so moved, he exclaims, "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!"  Hear me when I say, you can count on and be assured that God has all points covered.
